All our team have worked pro bono to bring the Mission to life. Scroll down to meet us.
THE LAWYER - Polly Higgins
Polly is the leading international expert and adviser on ecocide law, which she proposed into the United Nations International Law Commission in 2010. She is a barrister, award winning author and public speaker.
“The choice is simple: protect our Earth (both in action and in law) or let it be plundered. This is a mission on a grand scale, with the power to protect the lives of millions of us, human and non-human. For me it is unconscionable to walk away. This is about re-aligning the force of law with the force of life.”
THE ACTIVIST - Jojo Mehta
Jojo is a well-known UK campaigner against dangerous industrial activities such as fracking and incineration. She is a writer, public speaker and motivator.
"Recklessly harming the earth is a crime. To recognise this is to act from my conscience to protect her, just as I would act to protect my children - and all our children. In truth it is one and the same, for this Earth is their future."
THE ORGANISER - Sarah Lunnon
In a previous life Sarah was a local authority councillor and parliamentary candidate, calling for action on bio-diversity and pollution. With her clarity, experience and sheer down-to-earth practicality, she keeps our volunteer team on track and in touch.
THE DUTCH CONNECTION - Katy van Tergouw
Katy is an environmentalist that sticks to what she believes in. She is responsible for organisation and communication in and around the Netherlands which includes giving all-round assistance to Polly Higgins.
THE SPANISH CONNECTION - Anita Fay
Coming from a Transition Town background, Anita has decades of experience in bringing people who care together, organising events and setting up support networks. She is heading up the Spanish language outreach for Mission LifeForce.
YOUTH AMBASSADOR - Louise Watson

She supports Mission Life Force with her editing, digital and razor-sharp communication skills as well as her international network, inviting youth to take action internationally.
ORGANISATIONS OUTREACH - Nina Giblinwright
Nina is our technomad from Australia. She is passionate about environmental and human rights international law and is using her perceptive and efficient research skills to help Mission Lifeforce connect with other like-minded organisations, so that we can empower each other in our cause.
THE TECHIE - Coen Dahlhaus
Technology addict and entrepreneur Coen founded Heroes & Friends, which is the crowdsourcing platform we use and a fantastic tool for grassroots movements. He is the key digital co-ordinator for the mission and without him you wouldn’t be reading this.
SOCIAL MEDIA - Alastair Malir
Alastair keeps a close eye on Polly's established ecocide law material on Facebook and keeps it in sync with the Mission. He's a voice of reason, passionate in his advocacy - and saintlike in his patience.
